• Welcome to the Connor Family!

We are Jack, Grace, Nicole and Michael. With immediate family in over 6 States and friends all around the world, this is the easiest way for us to stay in touch and make sure everyone gets to see photographs as the family grows.

Originally, we started out with just a blog for Grace (cute but shortsighted as our family grew). You can still view old posts on her blog by clicking here.

More Pictures from February of Jack and Grace!

This past month has gone so quickly with our new little Jack.  I can’t believe he is already 5 weeks old. He is a really wonderful little guy. We feel so blessed to have such a mellow little baby. He has grown so much this past month too. He started at 7 lbs 8 oz. and now is 10 lbs 8 oz. Wow. He is quite a cutie! Grace has been an awesome big sister. She loves to hold him, bring him his blankie and talk to him. She talks to him in such a sweet little voice and loves to give him kisses on his lips!  It is very sweet! It has been wonderful having family here helping us with our two little ones and we are so thankful to have had their help. Here are some pics of the past few weeks here at our home. Mike and I look so tired in some of them.

Wrap Up From Jack’s First Month

I apologize for being quite behind in our family blog.  Busy with two kids and building the business.  Here are some of my favorites that I came across lately.  I will be sending you all DVD’s of photographs from the last few months.

Jack’s First Portrait Session

Jack was very cooperative (for a while) for his first portrait shoot.  It didn’t hurt having a space heater on high keeping him nice and cozy sans-clothing.

Snowpocalypse 2010

Today was no joke in the world of weather around here.  DC is famously known for freaking out about a little snow or rain.  Today, it was finally justified.

We received over 30 inches of snow overnight and throughout the day.  After waking up, I decided to head out and try to scoop a bit.  The only problem was that the snow was crushed against our storm door and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get it open.  Luckily, I was able to wiggle out the back door and then wade through snow (sometimes up to my waist) to the front yard.

I scooped our walkway to the trash cans and decided that was enough.  Even if I scooped out the cars, there would be no way I could get any of our cars out in the next couple days.  The court we live on hasn’t been scooped and is probably low on the priority list for everyone.

I ended up grabbing my cross country skis to head out and enjoy the weather.  I was always jealous of people that got to do that when I worked for the paper.  I actually enjoy the snow but I never got to have any fun with it because I was always out in search of other people doing it.  The two things I figured out really quickly:  1. there was too much snow for x-country skis  2. I’m not in as good of shape as I was when I was 18 and skiing every day in Sweden!

When I got back, we bundled up Grace and I took her outside to try out her new sled.  She LOVED it out there.  Just ask Nicole who had to deal with her fury after bringing her in before she wanted to come in!

Welcome Jack

Since our family is complete, it deserved a whole new blog.  There is no better way to start it off than to show who made it complete.
