Erica + Jon | Wedding Photography | Ronald Reagan Building, Washington, DC

New Year’s Eve weddings are always some of our favorites.  You can’t beat a night where everyone is ready to stay late and party!

Erica + Jon got ready at the Willard which is such a stunning space.  After their first look, it was off to the Ronald Reagan Building for the ceremony and reception.  Our couple and their wedding party were absolute troopers on the walk over.  DC was getting pounded with cold weather and crazy gusting winds (6º with wind chill!!) so that 2 block walk and a quick portrait shoot probably felt like a lifetime for everyone.  It sure looked nice though!

Once we got into the Ronald Reagan Building and thawed out, the rest of the night was spectacular.  The atrium is such an amazing space and their “small” chuppah fit in perfectly!

We have probably never seen such a talented group of guests.  Throughout the night, guests joined the band to sing, play the trumpet, the drums, guitar…  Our bride even sang for everyone and Jon played the sax for one song and the piano for another.

Of course, midnight was perfect with the confetti cannon and everyone ringing in the New Year.  Can’t wait to see what 2018 brings!
