We were happy to meet so many fun brides on Sunday at the Bethesda Bridal Show.  The next day our newest “hire” Jack came into our family.

Connor Studios will be working out of our hospital office until Thursday morning when we all get to go back home.  Jack was 7lbs. 8oz. and just shy of 21 inches long. Grace has been so cute with him but I still think that she doesn’t have a clue that he is coming home!

We couldn’t be happier.  Nicole and Jack are very happy and healthy.

So, now you know Jack.

CNN put together an awesome video by driving down a street in Haiti.  You can move 360˚ around as they are driving – you feel like you are in a turret gun.

Stay in there till 2:30ish to see them beat the rush hour traffic in a way I have always wanted to.

Just over 20 months ago, our “family” was changed and made better by the presence of our daughter Grace.  On Monday, our family is going to be made whole by the birth of our son (in heated negotiations and a mean game of rock/paper/scissors – best 200 out of 300 at this point – about name!!!).

This was a photograph of Grace on the first day she came into our lives.  (no, that’s not a wig!)  I remember that day and I have to say that I can’t wait to see how beautiful our son will be.

We are at about 1 week exactly until the birth of our son.  We still have to settle on a name.  Everyone is asking us if we have a name picked out.  The answer is yes.  I have a name picked out and Nicole has a name picked out.  They just aren’t the same name — yet!  :-)

Had a great and busy Saturday.  A group of area photojournalists came over for a seminar on wedding photography.  I felt like we only scratched the surface but probably completely overloaded them with information.  The good news for brides is that there are some amazing wedding photographers starting out around here.

From there, I had to run to meet with a bride that was down from New York.  I love hearing brides talk about their wedding plans.  Her wedding sounds awesome — laid back and fun plus a very pretty bride equals amazing photographs and a great day in my book!

Sunday was spent getting the room ready for the soon-to-be-named son.  I got to pull out the tools and put together his crib so it finally looks like we are ready for him.

Just a little something to make you laugh on a Friday morning.  Over the holidays, our daughter Grace (20 months) decided to get a little caffeine crazy!
