Sophia + Chris | Greek Orthodox Wedding Photography | St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral + National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC

I’m going to knock on wood because almost every wedding we have photographed this Spring and Summer has had rain in the forecast and we somehow have dodged almost every drop.  I’d like to think it’s clean living on our part but I think it probably has more to do with our awesome couples!

We started our day at with Sophia and Chris getting ready at the Omni Shoreham.  Sophia’s dress was ridiculous (in the best possible way!).  We were fortunate to get to do their first look and portraits in the garden at the Omni before heading over to St. Sophia’s for their ceremony.  I love photographing Greek Orthodox weddings because there is so much beauty in them.

Their reception was at the National Museum of Women in the Arts which is one of my most favorite venues in DC.  It’s not only beautiful but it’s a photographer’s dream with how it can be lit and all the possibilities for photography.  Once the dance floor opened up, it was Greek dancing all the way!
