First Week of April!

Grace and I have been working a lot with letters. Ever since teaching First Grade I have always enjoyed teaching Reading especially beginning skills.  So now it is so much fun to do one on one with your own little one. Now we do a letter each week, and review lots of letters all the time.  She probably knows at least half of them or more.  She has such a great little memory.  We finished our week of Letter D last week so here is a picture of some our D words that we have practiced making the “D” sound together. This week we were so busy doing so many new things and errands we barely got started with the Letter E so it will be our top priority next week.  Since my strengths are more into teaching Reading and Math with Grace, our Mom’s Group was visiting the National Wildlife Visitor Center for a Butterfly Puppet Show!  I thought this was a great way for Grace to get some Science in her life and we all know her love for butterflies! It was so much fun, her and Jack loved the show and I signed her up for more science toddler classes that are all free! YAY!  We went to one this week on Wednesday on Leaves, where Grace learned lots about leaves, used a magnifying glass to see buds on trees, and made a fingerprint tree! Jack even enjoyed coloring some leaves there! There is also a pic of Jack climbing the Art Table again!  He is such my active little boy! Here are some pics from the past week:
