Wow, those two years flew by!! Of course we’ve been trying all year to get Jack to say he was 1. He finally learned it just recently and now he’s two and doesn’t get it! Haha.
Unlike our usual big birthday bashes, we decided to keep it low-key and just the 5 of us. I shut off my work phone and work emails and took the whole day off (rare!).
Jack had a blast. He got a ton of loot from us and other family: Legos, Tool Belt, New Train Tracks, New Thomas Trains… Grace even got a new tool box. 
We still decorated the house with streamers, piñatas and games for him and baked a big ol’ birthday cake.
