Gussie + Greg had to push their wedding date back a year due to the pandemic. They got married in their hometown of Buck Hill Falls, PA in the Poconos. Driving up, I had never heard of the town but driving into it, I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it.
You pass under a stone bridge and you are just transported into another place and time. It was just stunning!! Unfortunately, Mother Nature was NOT cooperating. The trees were in peak Fall but the sky was not. Luckily, as our couple was getting ready, the sun poked its head out and we said GET DRESSED NOW!! Our planner and our couple were awesome and pushed everything up to get that beautiful light and we couldn’t have been happier.
In the middle of shooting the wedding party, we saw the blackest clouds ever coming over the mountain and I thought we had 15 seconds. Turns out we had about 7 and then all hell broke loose but we got our photos and our wedding party got to cover in the barn.
While we got plenty of rain for the rest of the day, it generally happened while they were under a beautiful tent and the sky cleared up to allow them a surprise fireworks show for their guests.
