Jane and Justin snuck in one last summer wedding last weekend right before Fall started. Considering that the previous weeks had involved earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding and a reported plague of locusts (unconfirmed), the fact that they had a nice warm and sunny day was the best miracle of all!

Justin and the guys got ready at the ALoft Hotel. Being a Naval Academy graduate, he is definitely the exception to the rule that only the bride can wear white on a wedding day! Jane started off with the ladies at the Gaylord and was about as relaxed as a bride can be which is always great to see. I’m still trying to figure out if Jane is nicer than she is intelligent or if she is smarter than she is nice – the problem is that she seems to have both in ABUNDANCE (I’ll attribute some of that to being a fellow Mid-Westerner!)!! Take a look at their wedding announcement in the New York Times and tell me that you don’t feel like you picked up 3 credit hours by just reading all of Jane’s bio (Justin’s is similarly impressive beyond belief)!

Their ceremony and reception were held at Oxon Hill Manor which is situated perfectly up the hill from National Harbor and is a beautiful place! I can’t believe I hadn’t been there before. The Manor is gorgeous and being so convenient to National Harbor and Alexandria, it’s almost perfect.

Our good friend Terri Eaves, owner of Bash, and her team of planners did an amazing job filling the day with stunning details from beginning to end. The book theme from the bookmark place cards to the table names being the books themselves were perfect.

I’m so glad that the day went off beautifully for both of you and your guests!!
