Jessica + Matthew | Wedding Photography | The Ritz Carlton, Washington, DC

We absolutely love New Year’s Eve weddings!  It’s always an amazing party because nobody is leaving early.  Jessica + Matthew’s wedding definitely partied all night long.

It was a chilly day out and while Jessica allowed me to freeze her out a little bit by doing portraits outside (thanks Jessica!), I wanted to keep her as comfortable as possible.  When I saw the light from the heat lamp out front, I knew we had the best of both worlds – great light and it kept her warm!  (it doesn’t hurt how amazing her dress was either)

The ceremony was super very personalized from the officiants to all of the nieces being involved.  The barbies left for the girls to play with was a nice touch.

The reception was wonderful.  All of the details made a very gorgeous venue become over-the-top.  They used a collection of different shaped tables and different centerpieces that should become the norm because of how perfect it looked.  And don’t get me started on Matthew’s mom’s cookie table — cookie room was more like it!!  At midnight they treated their guests to a confetti canon being shot off which made for a great moment and really great photos.

Big thanks to our wonderful couple and to all of the work put in by Terri and Joyce from Bash.  The whole team of vendors was a joy to work with.
