We couldn’t have been happier to be back at the Baltimore Four Seasons Hotel for Julie + Michael’s wedding! May has blessed us with absolutely gorgeous weather so they were able to have their wedding outside the hotel.
In all of our years photographing weddings, we have never seen doves released at weddings (much less twice). It was a great surprise for their friends and made for great photographs.
After the ceremony, we were a bit crunched for time to do portraits with Julie + Michael (9 minutes and 37 seconds from start to end to be exact). That would normally not be anywhere near ideal. However, you take a couple that looks like Julie + Michael, a gorgeous sunset below storm clouds and the beauty of the Four Seasons and it makes it work out pretty darn well! The one thing that being a photojournalist in DC for over a decade teaches you is that there are some things that are out of your control and in the end, you better still get the photo!
Some people don’t like kids at weddings. Count us out of that group! The group of nieces at this wedding made our day and constantly made us laugh. They were incredibly sweet and at times definitely stole the show.
The rest of the reception was a great party. Michael even built the cake/cake pop stand including the lighting (there is probably $$$ to be made by selling those online!).
