Karen and Marshall’s wedding was a long day but when you get to do portraits around the golf course at Trump National like this, it kind of makes it all worth it! I can’t thank all of the people at the club enough for letting it happen and then making it happen!!
We started off the day with everyone getting ready at Landsdowne Resort before heading off to a beautiful little church in Leesburg for the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we were off to the country club for the reception. The last time we photographed a wedding at Trump National was during Hurricane Irene so let’s just say that it looked a little different!
The club just built an AMAZING deck over their signature waterfall. I was kind of lost for words when I saw it – just a perfect space with a perfect view.
We were carted around with the wedding party for portraits. Getting a photo of a group that big on a bridge that narrow wasn’t easy. I need to give a big thanks to my second photographer Mary Calvert for just holding on to me so I didn’t fall back in the swamp while taking the photograph on my tiptoes on the edge of the bridge. After that, we got to spend time with just Karen and Marshall around the course in some key spots we found the previous Fall while doing their engagement session there.
The dance floor stayed busy most of the evening. At the end of the night, Karen’s family surprised the couple by showering them with flower petals as they left the reception.
