To get a couple like Laura and Brian who are not only beautiful on the outside but even more so on the inside makes our day (our month… our year…)!
We started off the day with Laura and the ladies getting ready at the Hotel Monaco. We’ve seen a lot of stunning dresses but Laura’s was breathtaking on the hanger and even more when she put it on. Her veil was long and looked great in portraits when the wind would catch it.
One of my favorite moments was riding in the limo to the church with Laura and her parents. The simple act of her saying thank you to them for the wedding was so touching because that’s not always something we hear. I love the little kiss on the cheek she gave her dad before heading down the aisle.
The ceremony ended in a sword arch outside and then it was off to take portraits around Alexandria. On our walk down to the water (thank you to all the bridesmaids for being good sports!!), we came upon one of my favorite spots with a little loading dock. After portraits of the two of them up there, Brian was lifting Laura down and the wind just grabbed her veil and made our day!
The reception was held at Belle Haven Country Club. It’s such a great place and we always loving working with Nicole Duncan and her staff at the club.
When you look at Brian, one of the first things that comes to mind is not So You Think You Can Dance. Boy is that wrong! From the first dance on, Brian (and about 99.7% of everyone there) lit up the dance floor like we haven’t seen in a LOOOOONG time. The girls were good but for maybe the first time ever, they guys ruled the dance floor!
