We don’t photograph a lot of engagement sessions in January for obvious reasons. Lisa and Ron were both in town from their home in LA for a planning session so we couldn’t exactly wait until the most beautiful Spring day. (kicking myself for not offering to fly out to LA for it!!)
The good news is that this winter has been extremely mild with only about 2 really cold days. The bad news is that this was one of those 2 days!
We did the shoot at the Botanic Gardens near the US Capitol figuring we could stay warm inside and head out to the Capitol and Mall if we wanted. It was my first time to shoot in the Gardens and it’s absolutely stunning. I was worried that Lisa and Ron wouldn’t be handling the cold well having just come in from LA but they were awesome!
Can’t wait for their wedding in late March. Should be a bit warmer and absolutely beautiful!
