I will give Eric a lot of credit. Mackenzie’s dad is Gary Rissling who played in the NHL for the Capitals and the Penguins. It is probably a bit intimidating to look up your girlfriend’s dad online and the first things that pop up are videos of his hockey fights! Of course the minute you meet Mackenzie, you understand how you could get by that!
Mackenzie and Eric had an absolutely gorgeous day for their wedding. They were lucky enough to be married at Mackenzie’s parents’ home north of Baltimore in Monkton, Md. They told us that there was a mad dash to finish some landscaping in the days leading up to the wedding but you would have never known because the place was just perfect.
Some of our favorite moments from the day was when Mackenzie and her dad walked out for the processional. Between him whispering something to her on the way and the final kiss before giving her away to Eric, they were just great moments.
The reception was stunning and just incredibly laid back. Having it at your home like that out of the city is such a great way to take the stress out of the day for you and your guests. That and all of the work that Briana and her team from Nouvelle Weddings did, made the day absolutely perfect. Dancing the night away with your family and friends in your backyard is not a bad way to celebrate your wedding!
