The hardest part of photographing Melissa and Andrew was trying to get them to understand that they were actually really easy to photograph. I think most of us think that we are awkward in front of the camera and quite honestly most of us are right. These two were wrong!
When we first met with Melissa and Andrew, they talked about how much the beach meant to them and their relationship. If it wasn’t for logistics, they would have had their wedding in Bethany Beach but since they couldn’t, they definitely wanted to do their engagement session there. They first mentioned doing it in the summer but when I explained about the traffic, crowds and sweat that would be involved, we pushed it back to the Fall.
Unfortunately, the weather decided to postpone our first two tries. I was starting to get a bit worried since it’s not easy to just pop out to the beach during the week and the Fall is crazy busy on the weekend. Well, the third time was the charm and man was it a charm!
Perfect weather + Empty beach + Perfect sunset + Easy-going couple makes the drive and the rescheduling beyond worth it!
