I told Samantha and Roberto that I was glad I never knew when I was single about all the amazing Cambodian food served after a Cambodian Engagement Ceremony because I might not have married a girl from outside of Pittsburgh!
There ceremony was really cool with a ton of family and friends at Samantha’s parents’ house. I came in during the part of the ceremony when all the family got to question Roberto to see if they would allow him to become engaged to Samantha. Thank God I didn’t have to go through that. I can’t even imagine the questions my in-laws would have asked me!
After deeming him worthy, Roberto got to present the ring to Samantha. It was all really amazing both visually and to just watch it.
When the ceremony was over, we were able to spend some time just doing portraits of Samantha and Roberto around the yard. They had a red balloon tied to the front of the house that matched Samantha’s dress so well that we just had to use it.
