If Stefani + Ajmal had been married the day before, these photos would look a lot different – a LOT sweatier with heat indexes over 100! Thankfully, they knew what they were doing and picked an amazing August day.
When you look up laid-back Bride and Groom in the dictionary, these two should definitely pop up. The day was amazing with tons of details but from getting ready through the sparkler sendoff, they just enjoyed the day to its fullest!
Everything took place at Riverside on the Potomac which is exactly what you picture in your mind having a barn wedding in the Virginia countryside. The ceremony was performed by the Groom’s sister which made it very special. Of course, you aren’t supposed to upstage the Bride at her wedding but with those flower girl dresses, I don’t know if that’s possible! (my girls would probably never take those off!)
The reception was held in the barn and was perfectly laid back. It was also full of so many beautiful details! We loved the cutting of the pie – it’s simple things like that that can make your wedding “yours”. If you like pie more than you like cake, why wouldn’t you choose it?!
