This week has been getting everyone on more of a schedule! Summer is always difficult to stay on a tight schedule because there is always so much fun to do outdoors or with friends/family. It has been definitely more work this week to try to get 2 children fed and napping in their cribs happily. Jack now eats twice a day and can take 2 naps in his crib pretty well on most days. Grace has had her ups and downs with naps since she has turned two but this week she has been great. The key was to get her in her crib before she was too tired and cranky. She wakes up at 6:00 am now, has lunch at 11:00 and naps now at 12:00. We moved up everything an hour and it seems to have really helped. We just need to make sure we are all home by 11:00 for her to sleep successfully. Jack has had applesauce and cereal now and is doing quite well with everything. He pretty much sleeps throughout the night and wakes up anywhere between 6-7 o’clock. I have some early birds.
I have also been working on Grace trying to eat by herself and a more variety of foods t his past week. She is really working on eating everything by herself so we do get messy but that’s OK by me. Yogurt is always the hardest so I help her with that one if she lets me since she loves yogurt. She really has made leaps and bounds about trying more foods! Go GRACE! She is a great veggie and meat eater but we are still working on those fruits. If only everything tasted like ice cream and chocolate!
Grace and Jack really also enjoy one another these days. Grace will kiss and hug him all the time. She also loves playing mommy with her baby dolls. Jack loves anything he can chew on/lights up/ or makes music.
