Crabs, Colds, and Playtime!

Last Saturday, Grace had crabs for the first time.  Michael brought them home from the store in a brown bag (alive) and we showed them to Grace.  She was really not freaked out by them and she just loved talking to them.  She told us she was going to eat them so we don’t think she really got the idea that they were alive. When we had dinner she ate the crabmeat very happily.  The next day, Grace’s little face had bright pink patches all over it. She wasn’t itchy and had no fever so Michael and I gave her Clartin and she was OK for the night. The next day it was still pink, so Michael took her to the Doctor. Her doctor said it was probably a mild delayed reaction to the shellfish so we are avoiding shellfish until we get her tested for allergies when she is three.

This past week Jack also got a runny nose. He never got a fever just congestion. He still was a very happy little guy except for at night. One night we took the swing upstairs and he slept in it for most of the night. Then Jack was better. Then Grace got his cold but she is better today. Now, Jack has the cold again.  We have a cycle.  Hopefully it will past this week.

Jack is doing great eating even though he was sick. He has eaten: apples, pears, sweet potatoes, carrots, and peas He has really started to sit well and picks out toys to play.  Grace has been hilarious this past week. She has been singing and dancing all over the house. She loves to take her baby stroller outside with her baby for walks in the evening.

Grace is so excited for Michael’s Birthday on Tuesday! She just loves Birthday parties and she helped me pick out his plates, napkins, candles, cake, and party hats. She really wanted the party hats.  She has been practicing singing “Happy Birthday Daddy” all the time.

Here are a few pics from the week:
